About

Hi, I'm Roy! I'm a technical game designer based in the Netherlands, working on GOBLINS! GOBLINS! GOBLINS! (wishlist please <3!). If you're reading this page, that means you're either interested in my backstory, or creeping on me, but both is cool. All are welcome. Read on for some lore!

Our story begins with...

That glorious Warcraft II World editor. Ever since then, I've been modding games until I realized that making games could be a job. Since then, I graduated from IGAD (Breda University of Applied Sciences) as a game designer. I enjoy making things myself, which is why I am more of a technical game designer. I also dabble in animation, VFX, and do UI when the job calls for it (a background in graphic design helps).

I've worked at Rogueside on Warhammer 40k: Shootas, Blood & Teef, was a design lead at LFG Studio Red (fun times) and worked as a technical game designer at Neobards. After that, I wanted to be able to show what I can do, so I started working on two personal projects; Project Goblin and Project Knives (gotta love personal project names), of which the former is slowly turning into a real game (did I mention that you can wishlist it?), and the latter is a project about making a knife throw as juicy as possible with supporting systems around it. Check out the individual pages if you're interested!

Thanks for reading, and feel free to send a message using the buttons somewhere below. Take care!

Off the clock

I'm also a huge DND nerd, and have been a (forever) DM for about 7-8 years (who's keeping track), I enjoy cooking (stews! stews! stews!), and practice swinging pieces of steel around according to a manual from 1500 during HEMA.
